Fabricio and Jaime did a great job leading our Royal Caribbean cruise excursion, which included a nice hike, followed by a tequila tasting, BBQ lunch with an limited open bar (Margaritas, soda, and Coronitas beer), and time to dip in the beautiful pool of this villa. For those who who wanted, there was the option to get a 5, 10, or 15 minutes massage for a very reasonable price. We did not stay overnight.

We did an excursion in Puerto Vallarta to unnatural volcanic Hot Springs that included lunch and a foot rub in the middle of Rainforest on our royal Caribbean navigator of the sea We booked this excursion through Viarta Definitely worth the money and they took us back to the ship. Amazing trip!
Saul Robles was our guide. He did an excellent job and was extremely kind and patient. This trip is one where you go into the village and it definitely humbled us for the way we live in the US. It was nothing but smiles, waves and kind gestures. The second part of this trip was the tequila tasting and lunch. Churro making class, da bomb
We went to a churro making class and we thought it was going to be boring, but ohhh no, we not only made delicious churros. Our guide and cook Roberto showed us how to make a perfect salsa and we also had a piñata….. yes an actual piñata. They made us shrimp and fish tacos that where good, but the energy and good vibes that Roberto had with us was with out a doubt what made our day. You’ve gotta do this one!!
This was amazing! We book several excursions during our visits to PV and this one ranks in our top two! Val was so sweet and taught us some great cooking tips. Our driver (name?) was fun and kept us entertained. After our delicious lunch and drinks we had a dip in the resort style pool. Fun experience!
Overall experience was pretty nice! Horses are definitely well taken care of but the instructions could’ve been a bit more detailed for first time riders. They just have you read a wall of basic instructions lol. Would recommend wearing closed toed sneakers & bringing a small backpack with swimming clothes so you can change. It’s optional to go super deep in the water with your horse but one person on our tour did it & it was cool to see. Depending on the dust level, bandanas may be needed to cover your face but it’s doable without. We thought the swimming portion was going to be shorter so we didn’t bring any changing clothes but it’s actually on a resort location & you spend around 2hrs by the pool. There’s bathrooms as well so you can easily change. Food was great & delicious! The tequila tasting was also nice as well.

Nice way to spend the day
This was a nice relaxing way to spend the day. It is true that the shuttle does not have AC and the day was hot and sticky but the ride, tequila, and lunch was great. Cooling off in the river and swimming pool was so refreshing!

VERY Rustic and Hot
This is not a cool/breezy horseback ride along a beach. You are taken to a hot dusty small town (population 2000), in a van that does NOT have AC (it was 91 degrees at the end of May - this is why I gave it 4 stars). You travel along a hot dusty road about 30 mins, ride through a river then travel back. There’s no shade along the ride. You eat after, the food was good, the tequila tasting was interesting, we didn’t have time to swim in the pool. TIPS: Bring a bandana for dust, and sunblock. You either carry your bag with you or leave it unsupervised during the horseback ride so I wouldn’t bring anything valuable. No need for towels, bring a bottle of water, wear old tennis shoes or sandals with a heel strap - they’ll get dirty, they’ll only get wet if you choose to swim with the horse. Tell your taxi to take you to Nima Bay resort, they didn’t seem to understand the address. You’ll see the mirror to the right of the guard shack. Bring plenty of tip money, someone is asking for tips at every turn (there’s even a lady in the restroom that hands you a paper towel, with a tip basket). Hope this helps!

A Disappointment....not a relaxing get-away
My husband's sister, son, and a friend join us for a day pass to La Dulce Vista. I believe our experience is relevant to anyone who wishes to visit or book their lodging here. This site is not attuned to the best needs of the customer, just maximum tourist use. The journey from Puerto Vallarta is long, and as such the experience should justify the trip. It doesn't. We arrived having reserved Day Pass for our group of 5 and were first led to a table with a broken umbrella, which didn't enable us to position it to better shade us at the table. We asked to move to another more suitable table adjacent the pool, realizing as we settled in that the pool area was overrun with large-sized booked groups, and overwhelmed by an instructor doing a nearby cooking class whose voice was booming over the entire adjacent seating area. We asked if we could move again because of the loud voice distraction and were told the class would be over soon. It wasn't. We asked after a patient wait if we could move again and were told a new area would be prepared at the opposite end of the pool, but none was. I then personally moved to the other end of the pool and after some time returned to the rest of the party where my husband suggested I should speak to the instructor himself. The instructor rejected any request to speak in a more normal voice and in fact the staff ushered me away. We eventual moved to the other end of the pool finding our own table. At 1:10 pm we place our lunch order for our group's meal at 2pm. At 2pm we went looking for our waitress. The food came in dribs and drabs, one person after the next, most of the food arriving initially cold and overcooked. My husband still hadn't received his food by the time we all had nearly completed our meals, being informed the by the waiter that chicken had to be defrosted (despite the more than 1 hour advance notice). An hour and 10 minutes after placing our order, my husband finally got his meal. By that point new larger booked groups seem to show up for more planned events around the pool site and surrounding grassy area. Our dream of a relaxing enjoyable day was not to be. We shared our day's experience with the manager. Sadly the photo advertisements are deceptive, suggesting a quiet private hideaway, but the tourist groups populate the place and the small private family groups are not a priority. Great for Family
We had a lovely day with Miguel. I can’t say that we did any deep learning, but we had fun. Our 13 year old daughter wasn’t sure she was going to like it and thanked us multiple times during the lesson for the experience. The road to get to Dulce Vista is harrowing…but part of the real Mexican experience. Hahahahaha.
